Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Buyers Products 44 inch long class five, service body, two inch hitch receiver. Now, this is a class five service body hitch receiver that'll handle towing loads up to 16,000 pounds. The hitch receiver right here, you can see it has a two inch receiver opening. And it does have a 5/8 inch diameter pin hole.
Now, the pin and clip is not included. That would hold whatever you insert into there into place. The pin and clip we do sell separately on our website. Now, this is a carbon steel construction. Has a nice, corrosion resistant, black powder coat finish to it.
Now, the mounting plates to install this hitch to your vehicle's frames, those are not included. We do sell those separately on our site. Basically, those mounting plates are designed to slip over this tube on each end, adjust it to fit the width of your trailer frame, and then weld everything into place. But again, the mounting plates are not included. This does have a maximum gross trailer weight capacity of 16,000 pounds.
Maximum tongue weight capacity of 1,600 pounds. And just wanna give you the length, again, on the tube is right at 44 inches long. And I wanted to zoom in and also just show you, it does have these oversized holes here and these are for your safety chains. And you can see they're oversized, elongated holes because it'll allow you to put a large hook in there if your safety chains has large hooks on it. Should work great. Going to mount it on Box truck on top of 44" crossmember. Will send a pic when it is finished.
Hitch fit as advertised, tech support was helpful with dimensions, etc. 4-star review is due to half the hardware missing upon delivery. May consider double-boxing hardware for shipping.
